Perfect Rhythm with Pacemaker

Stay Healthy with Perfect Rhythm

Pacemaker are life-saving medical devices that have revolutionized the treatment of Heart Rhythm disorders. Let us know more.

Q. What is a Pacemaker?

A: A Pacemaker is a small device implanted in the chest or abdomen to help regulate abnormal heart rhythms. It consists of a pulse generator and leads that connect the generator to the heart.

Q. Who needs a Pacemaker?

A: Pacemakers are prescribed to individuals with bradycardia (a slow heartbeat), heart block or irregular heart rhythms. One of the major symptoms is transient fainting (syncope).

Q. How does a Pacemaker work?

A: The pacemaker monitors the heart’s electrical activity and delivers electrical impulses to regulate the heartbeat when it becomes too slow or irregular. These impulses simulate the heart muscle to contract, maintaining a normal rhythm.

Q. What if the heart rate becomes too high (Tachycardia)?

A: In some conditions when the heart rate becomes abnormally high, implantable defibrillators are implanted to maintain the normal  rhythm.

Q. Are Pacemaker safe?

A: We in India are using globally acclaimed, MRI-compatible Pacemakers. Our finest team of Cardiologist along with our latest generation Cath Labs ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
